Bingen is surrounded by an inviting landscape of churches, castles, monuments, and the River Rhine. The town and region has a rich cultural life, excellent wines and friendly and welcoming people. Visit the monastery ruins and domain of St. Hildegard at the Disibodenberg. In the afternoon, go on a trip to the former Rupertsberg monastery in Bingerbrück, then visit the Basilica of St. Martin. Go for a stroll through the inner city of Bingen followed by a visit to Rochus Chapel on Rochus Hill where several relics of St. Hildegard and the only authentic piece of her habit are preserved. Pass the picturesque scenery of the River Rhine with the fortified castles towering on hillsides and villages set between the vineyards of the region. Continue to nearby Assmannshausen renowned for its excellent wines. Ride on a chairlift from Rüdesheim to the Niederwald Monument of Germania, built to commemorate the founding of the German Empire and the union of all Germans under William I. Discover the unique atmosphere in St. Stephen's Cathedral in the ethereal blue light of the stained glass windows by Marc Chagall. Rhine Hessen is the heartland of German wine culture, producing premium quality wines. Mainz as the 'wine capital' lists numerous wine bars and restaurants of which the House of German Wines offers the broadest selection. Return to hotel.

Day 4: Continue to Worms for a sightseeing tour including St. Peter's Cathedral, Liebfrauenkirche 'Church of Our Dear Lady' and Trinity Church. After lunch, go on a tour in the Nibelungen Museum.
